Need 19.65 – Single Mother Out Of Work For Two Months

In the ten years that I have run One Need, I can not remember a more busy week than this week. On the one hand, it is incredible for us all to be used by God to help those in need. On the other hand, it comes with a certain amount of pressure on the group and the system. This week we have two more needs to alert. This one and one tomorrow. I pray that we will all band together and finish this week out strong.

We alert you today to a single mother that lost her job at a dental office on August 12th. She recently secured new employment, and her first day is October 21st. She has a very stable history of providing for her 10-year-old daughter and her 14-year-old son. Over the past two months, she has used all of her savings to get by. She does not get any child support or support of any kind from the government. She is two months behind on her rent, and an eviction notice was put on her door yesterday. To add stress and pressure, she found out last week that her mother has lung cancer. I wish each of you could have talked to her to clearly understand how driven she is to provide for her and her children while at the same time, how close she is to the pit of despair. This need truly breaks my heart. We want to help her avoid eviction. The children are doing great in their environment, and we are confident that she can sustain herself if we help her avoid eviction. She needs two months of rent and late fees totaling $2300.

God bless your struggle to raise your children alone and showing them the strength of a strong woman with enough love to ask for help.

Thanking God for this ministry and the ability to bless someone like her. God is good and is her and her childrens’ provider!
