God’s Handiwork.
Recently, I was able to take a few days and head to Colorado to enjoy some snowboarding with friends. I didn’t realize how much I needed the break. Sometimes we get so consumed in our own worlds, whether it is family, work, ministry, etc., that we forget to reflect on the majesty God has set around us.
For me, it was great to just be quiet and look. Check out these verses and enjoy some pics :).
Psalms 19: 1 – 6
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky abovea proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
What is especially amazing to me, even after seeing this magnificent landscape that declares the glory of God, He still declares US His handiwork! We are the crown jewel of His creation and through the sacrifice of His son, we are results of a grace led example of His work! Soli Deo Gloria!!!!
Ephesians 2:8 – 10
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
