Story

We alert you today of a 49 year old Certified Medical Assistant in need of help getting her licensure reinstanted.

On September 17th of 2013 she suffered a debilitating injury. She compound fractured her tibia and fibula. She broke her leg just below the knee in half and the bones broke the skin. Just typing this makes me cringe a little. At the time she had been a Certified Medical Assistant for 10 years.

When she was injured she was already overweight and the injury added to her weight problem. So, the rehab for her leg has been slow.

She was not able to work during her recovery and the lack of income led to her losing her home, leaving her homeless. A friend opened her home to the woman and her husband and they are well on the way to recovery.

During the injury, she made the mistake of letting her Medical Assistant Licensure laps. Because her licensure has lapsed she now has to retake the test and pay extra fees.

This family needs both adults working and the best option for her is to work in her field as a CMA. The husband woks in a warehouse for a parts supplier and they just can not come up with the extra money needed to fix this issue.

Need

$250 Test Fee and $50 Reinstatement Fee

Total Need = $300
