Need 20.28 – Single Mother Needs Help Getting Through COVID-19 Shutdown
We alert you today to a single mother of an 18-year-old daughter that needs help making if financially thorough the COVID-19 Shutdown. Before the shutdown, she earned a living working multiple jobs. She was the administrator for a small private school 12 hours per week, a tax consultant, and she drove for Uber on weekend nights. She is very involved in her home church and has a solid history providing for her and her daughter. She and her daughter have filed for unemployment, but there have been complications, and she is appealing. It looks like a mistake on her daughter’s decision, and she has not received a result on hers. She is also waiting on the stimulus check, but she is getting it by mail and will not receive it for several more weeks. She needs help paying her rent, phone, car insurance, and power bill. Once those bills are paid, she will be caught up, and the stimulus money combined with unemployment should be enough to get her to the other side of this shutdown. She needs a total of $1,870 to make ends meet.
