Need 20.29 – Family of 5 Loses Entire Home In Tornado
We alert you today to a family of five (children are 2,8,13) that lost their entire mobile home from what is believed to be two tornadoes that touched down in succession this past Sunday night. The storm is responsible for taking five people’s lives in the immediate community, and several others lost their homes. The family we are working to provide relief did not have homeowners insurance. They are ok on clothes and food as the surrounding community is rallying around them. Their most significant need at this point is home. The father looked into another mobile home, but a close friend that is a builder has agreed to build them a new home at cost. The family will just need to get a down payment together for the mortgage. We want to help them with him down payment. We have set the goal at $20,000 on what should be less than a $100,000 mortgage. We will leave this Need Alert open until April 24th at noon.
(Please remember that all donations are tax-deductible and 100% of the money, less PayPal fees, goes directly to the family through our local church partner)
