Woman In Need of 1 Month’s Bills and Employment Opportunities: Need 15.24 = Met

STATUS = 12 Deeders have responded from 5 different states and donated $1,288.37. Three other Deeders contacted us with job opportunities Need met! We are transferring funds to local church partner to apply relief.

Story

Good Morning. We alert you today of a 41 year old single mother of a 21 month old little girl in need. The father of the child left her while the mother was 20 weeks pregnant with their child. As a result, she moved to Georgia from Southern California last year with her then 5 month old little girl seeking a lower cost of living and to be closer to family.

She is currently living in a subsidized apartment complex for single mothers and lost her job 2 months ago. Our church partner visited the complex before Mother’s Day with a small gift and an invitation to church. Through this outreach effort, the single mother became aware of the church. She then reached out to them for help. This is exactly how we impact our community as a local body.

Through working with her I can tell you that she feels incredibly alone. She also really impressed me with her grasp on her financial situation. She is very well put together and can really turn this thing around with the right opportunity. So we would like to help her get out of this financial ditch that she is in and also help her find employment.

- She has very good credit. We do not want to further complicate her recovery buy ignoring her ability to borrow money in the future if needed.

Food For the Month – $150.00
