Today we alert you to a woman who survived a car crash that took her boyfriend’s life. The couple was involved in a single-car accident in the middle of January. Her boyfriend died on the scene. She was severely injured as well, suffering a broken neck at the base of her skull, broken pelvis, broken left leg, broken clavicle, and a severe concussion. Beyond her significant physical recovery, she also needs trauma and grief counseling. She has a solid work history but has been unable to work since the accident. She is on schedule to return to work by the middle of May.

Her sister has been supporting her by paying the utilities and making sure she has food. However, she is two months behind on her rent (plus fees), and she will need help with her upcoming May rent payment. She needs $5,307 to stabilize her housing through the end of May while she completes her recovery. We also want to provide ten mental health sessions to help her address the trauma and grief she is carrying ($75/session). This is a considerable need, and it will take all of us to come together in order to meet the need.
