We alert you today to a single mother of two who is working hard to maintain a home for her children. She finalized a divorce from her husband in July after 20 years of marriage. Several years ago, her husband got addicted to painkillers and became abusive towards her and the children. The courts removed him from the home and put a restraining order in place. Unfortunately, this mom endured two more years of violent threats from him. Earlier this spring, police gathered enough evidence to arrest him for violating the restraining order.

She was a stay-at-home mom for most of the marriage. She has been providing for her and her children through various jobs, including part-time work on the weekends. She is managing her expenses wisely and working very hard to improve her employment. We want to give her some breathing room while she continues to search for a better job. Providing $2,470 will cover one month’s worth of her living expenses.
