Need 22.66 – Family In Need After Father Undergoes Foot Amputation
We alert you today to a family in need after the father’s health forced him to amputate his foot. On October 11th, the father had a partial foot amputation, followed by a second operation to remove even more of his foot. He is dealing with complications and is still in danger of losing his leg. The foot problem resulted from a car accident years ago in conjunction with his diabetes condition. He had no choice but to have the amputation.
As an electrician, he was the family’s main breadwinner. He worked through pain for years because he was afraid of losing the family home. His wife is working and has also picked up a second job to bring in extra income. She is currently working seven days a week, but they are still drowning, financially.
As you can imagine, this family is carrying a heavy load right now. While it is clear that the father will not be able to carry out his normal job as an electrician, he can still contribute in some way after he heals. They need time to create a sustainable plan for the husband’s employment. Their monthly bills are $2,500 in total. We want to cover two months’ worth of bills during this major life transition.
