We alert you today of a mother of two that is facing eviction if we do not step in and help our local church partner by funding this ministry opportunity.
She has a 12 year old daughter and 3 year old son. She works for a school system during the school year, but is not able to maintain her employment with them during the summer. Normally she has several part time jobs in the summer months like watching children and cleaning houses, but things just flat out fell apart on her this summer. She is back to work now with the new school year and will be sustained through her paychecks going forward. However, she will never be able to catch up on her own and will be evicted in the coming weeks. This will put her employment at risk and displace the children. We do not want this to happen if we can help it.
She does not receive any government assistance and is truly committed to providing for her children. She has just hit a very hard time and we would like to help this local church partner apply some relief to her and her children.
Her rent is $650 per month and she is 3 months behind. We have contacted the landlord and they have agreed to waive the $450 in late fees. The local church partner has also secured a matching donor for this need. The partner church is going to be able to match the first $500 raised.
This is sort of a big need so let’s break it down. She needs $1,950 to be current on rent. We have a matching donor on the first $500. So that leaves $1,350 that we need to raise.
Need
Backed Rent = $1,950
Late Fees = $450
Original Total Needed = $2,400
Then we are able to subtract:
Waived Lated Fees = $450
Matching Donor = $500
Total We Need to Met This Need = $1,350
How To Help
1.) Take a second and pray for this Need Alert and every Deeder that is receiving it.
*As always 100% of your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your money, less the PayPal fees, will be applied to this specific need. You should also know that the relief will be delivered by the local church partner, not One Need.
All Need Alerts are prayed over and fully reviewed before you receive them. When you see a Need Alert from One Need we want you to have confidence that we are providing relief to a person with a real need. Furthermore, you should know that every need originates with a local church partner. Less than 5% of the Needs we work with become Need Alerts. You can feel confident that when you receive a Need Alert, like this one, that we have dug in and worked with the local church partner and the person in need. We know these people, their backgrounds, and have others that confirm these needs.
