Need 22.73 – Domestic Violence Victim In Need

We alert you today to a domestic violence victim in need. She has lived in an abusive relationship for many years. The violence escalated over time, resulting in an incident where she was brutally beaten. Her abuser faced several felony charges. She left their home, looking to provide a safe environment for their 3-year-old daughter. She secured a townhouse for her and her daughter. She told me it made her feel so good that she could provide a small grass yard where her daughter could play outside.

Her abuser, the daughter’s father, reached out to her after a while, and unfortunately, she decided to take him back into her new home. She said she did it because she wanted her daughter to have a father. He again became abusive, and when she found cocaine in his pocket, she kicked him out.

They organized their bills in a way that left her without money for rent this month. We want to pay her rent and help her avoid eviction. She is a hard worker, earning $21 per hour at her full-time job. We feel she can make it on her own if she can get through this situation. We also want to provide 15 sessions with our mental health team to address the underlying trauma driving her decisions. The rent is $1,050, and 15 mental health sessions will cost $1,125.
