Need 23.01 – Adoptive Parents In Need
We alert you today to a couple, 52 and 51 years old, who adopted their niece and nephew from the children’s drug-addicted parents in November of 2021. The 17-year-old boy had been struggling in school, and the eight-year-old little girl had never attended school. The new mother and father were able to stabilize the lives of the children. Both of the parents had full-time work and savings.
In May of 2022, the 17-year-old son was diagnosed with Leukemia. The family was able to get the son his needed treatment and keep everything together. The mother became very ill this past November. She suffered a hernia which caused a bowel obstruction that required emergency surgery. She suffered complications from infection during her recovery that led to six more surgeries. She is currently unable to work. The husband has been forced to miss time at work to care for his ailing mother and adopted son. They are struggling financially. They are in need of $3,500 to catch up on bills and stabilize their housing and utilities. Please pray that the mother continues to heal, and that she will be well enough to return to work in the next few months.
