A friend of mine, Andrew Kown, reminded me of these verses a while back and they came to mind this morning. Colossians 3:23-24 says “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.” We hope today that you are working as for the Lord and not man. You should know that no matter what your profession, you can use it for the Lord. Your work does matter. You do make a difference.
We alert you this morning of a young father and Navy veteran, that served in Operation Enduring Freedom, in need of our help. He works very hard as a server at a mid range restaurant chain and is looking for better opportunities. His wife, and mother of his two young children, normally works on the weekends for a catering company and also has 2 houses that she cleans to help make ends meet.
For the past 3 months the mother has been suffering from severe intestinal infections. The infections have been so bad that she has been hospitalized and unable to work. The cycle has been that she is treated and they think she is better, but a week later she becomes sick again. Her family is unable to help them in any way and the young father’s family has all passed away. This young couple has been struggling as a result of her illness and is now facing eviction all alone. We have connected the father with our national staffing partner in the hopes of securing him additional employment and allowing him to serve tables at night and on the weekends.
We think this family can recover with our help. We do not want their problems compounded by an eviction when we believe we can get them stable within 45 days.
Please playfully consider this family in need.

How To Help
1.) Take a second and pray for this Need Alert and every Deeder that is receiving it.
2.) Share by clicking the icons below!
*As always 100% of your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your money, less the PayPal fees, will be applied to this specific need. You should also know that the relief will be delivered by the local church partner, not One Need.
All Need Alerts are prayed over and fully reviewed before you receive them. When you see a Need Alert from One Need we want you to have confidence that we are providing relief to a person with a real need. Furthermore, you should know that every need originates with a local church partner. Less than 5% of the Needs we work with become Need Alerts. You can feel confident that when you receive a Need Alert, like this one, that we have dug in and worked with the local church partner and the person in need. We know these people, their backgrounds, and have others that confirm these needs.
