We alert you today to a family in need after the father suffered a heart attack while at work. The husband and wife jointly managed a restaurant for the last two years. Three of their children also worked at the same restaurant. In recent weeks, the restaurant struggled to make a profit, and the owner stopped paying all of them in order to keep the doors open. The father suffered a heart attack which was brought on by the stress of the situation. An employee found him late at night on the floor of the restaurant. He spent several days in the hospital and is now recovering at home.

Unfortunately, the restaurant owner responded to the situation by closing the restaurant permanently. It remains to be seen if the family will be awarded any back pay owed to them. The wife and three daughters are diligently seeking new employment. They are in need of $2,800 for rent, utilities, and other living expenses for the month of August. We feel confident that they will find their footing by the first of September.
