We alert you today to a senior citizen, husband and wife, who is being forced to move. They have lived in the same rental home for over eleven years and provided for themselves consistently. They collect social security monthly, and the husband works two part-time jobs to make ends meet. At the start of last month, they were informed that they had sixty days to vacate as the landlord was selling the rental property. The couple was caught entirely off guard and lacked the resources to make the move as they had no family support. They faced two challenges. First, they needed help physically moving. That has been resolved. The second challenge was the financial burden of securing a new rental home. The total cost to secure the new rental home is $5,200. They can pay $1,700 of it and lack $3,500. They are moving on February 7th and will continue to work on financial solutions independently. We want to provide them with as much financial assistance as possible toward their $3,500 goal.
