Need 24.21 – 30-Year-Old Husband Has Foot Amputated
We alert you today to a 30-year-old husband who recently had his foot amputated. Eight years ago, he was misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes. In mid-February, he learned that he was a type 1 diabetic. He had been dealing with an issue with his right foot for the past four years and mainly suffered in silence. In late February, his wife, realizing how bad his foot had gotten, took him to the emergency room. Doctors discovered that he had become septic and was suffering from a severe infection of MRSA, and his foot had gangrene. He was forced to have his foot amputated. He is doing well today as he continues physical therapy and is expected to return to work early next month.
He works at a nonprofit that helps noncustodial parents with parental rights and sings at his local church. His wife is a third-grade public school teacher. This unexpected health event caused them to miss significant time at work and need financial help getting through April. They need $4,190 in financial support to cover their monthly bills for April. We want to help them through this challenging time and are confident they can sustain themselves going forward.
