We alert you to a single mother of a 16-year-old son who needs a hand up. She has an excellent work history and has provided for her and her son for the past 16 years. A few months ago, she faced a financial storm. Her car broke down, and the repair was more than the car was worth, and she was forced to purchase another car. During that same period, her child support payments stopped. To add to the financial pressure, she then unexpectedly lost her job. She regained employment within a month, but the combined challenges have left her in a perpetual state of playing catch up, and the exorbitant late fees are wreaking havoc on her monthly budget.
