We alert you today of a woman who has cared for herself for many years. She began a new job last year, so she had only accrued 3 days off in November when she came down with the flu. She was out of work for 2 weeks, mostly without pay. Then, in the first week of January, she had to replace her car’s battery, alternator, and tire. She could repair the car and pay her rent and bills but had to pay the rent late. This incurred a late fee that she wasn’t able to pay. She will also pay February’s rent after the due date and incur another late fee. We want to give her the $400 for January and February’s late fees so that she will be all caught up by March instead of snowballing into a more significant financial problem.
