Need 25.40 – Single Mother In Need Of New Engine
Today, we alert you to a hard-working single mother of three (5,4,3) who needs a new engine. She works 40-50 hours per week and has a strong track record of providing for herself and her children. She does not receive child support and has done a great job keeping things together independently. A few weeks ago, the engine in her 2012 Honda Pilot failed. She researched all the options, including purchasing a new car. She talked this issue through with a trusted friend and mechanic at her church, who suggested replacing the engine in her existing car because everything else about the car looks in order, and she could avoid taking on a car payment. (We like this idea as well) The cost to replace the engine is $5,200. She has been able to pull together $3,000 toward the repair. She is borrowing a car while hers is in the shop to avoid missing any hours at work, but that arrangement will not last much longer. We want to help her through this trial by providing the remaining $2,200 needed to complete the repair.
