We are working today to help a single mother of three, whom we have been tracking since she was a part of a department-wide layoff on August 6th, from a law firm she had worked at for several years. She is a hard worker and has a long history of providing for her three boys (19, 18, 13). She has done all the right things, getting unemployment benefits going immediately and making finding employment her full-time effort. She has already secured a new position with another law firm, which may offer a better situation for her after this transition. Her rent is $2,400 per month, and she has $1,100. She needs help with $1,300. Her landlord has agreed to drop the late fees as she has never been a day late on her rent. We want to help her with he $1,300 she needs as she returns to work and closes the page on this trial.
