We alert you today to a father who is working to get home to his wife and their infant daughter. The couple had their first child a little over three months ago. Unfortunately, in the weeks leading up to the birth of their child, the father was laid off by his employer. He scrambled to find work and did, but it was on the other side of the country from their home. He took the position to provide for his wife and their newborn. He left for the new job ten days after the child was born and has not been home since. Adding to the pressure, he was laid off again from his position across the country. He has secured a new position in their hometown but needs help with the expenses to travel across the country to reunite with his wife and child. He works in the trades and has to drive his work truck and equipment across the country. The total cost for fuel, food, and lodging is expected to be $800, and they don’t have the money. We want to help him get home.
