Need 25.82 – HVAC Tradesman Injured

We are alerting you today to an incident involving an HVAC tradesman who sustained an injury in early October. He was working on a project when a wrench fell and hit his eye. The wrench tore the outer layer of his eye that covers his pupil, resulting in an ulcer on his eye. Doctors have been treating him for the past several weeks, but they have not been able to get the eye to heal. Last week, they tried one last prescription before having to take more drastic measures, and it seems to be working. He has been unable to drive or work during his recovery, and because he is an independent contractor, he does not have any short-term disability coverage. He hopes to return to work in the next week or so, but needs some help paying his $1,500 rent for November. We want to help him with his rent for November to assist him in avoiding eviction as he gets back on his feet and returns to work.
