We are working today to support a hard-working single mother of a 12-year-old girl. She works a full-time position 40 hours per week and a second job in the evening to provide for herself and her daughter. Two months ago, she used a large portion of her emergency fund when her family member passed away unexpectedly. In sort of a perfect financial storm, her landlord informed her that he was selling the house the following month, and she would be forced to move. She has her normal rent money, but cannot pay the $1,100 deposit for her new place. We want to help her through this housing transition and feel she will be self-sustaining moving forward
