We sent out the below need alert yesterday afternoon.

Grandmother and 3 Year Old Granddaughter in Need – Woodstock, GA – Need 14.40

Good Afternoon.

We alert you today of a 47 year old grandmother that has adopted her 3 year old granddaughter.  She was forced to adopt her grandchild because her daughter was not caring for her and the child’s father has passed away.

She was employed for over two years at The Home Depot Call Center in Kennesaw, GA.  Her work performance was moving along fine as she was 134% of her quota.  Then she began haven heart issues.  In July of 2013 she had to have a stint placed in her heart. She returned to work only to be put into surgery again for 2 more stints in March 2014.  When she returned to work, her perfomace was below par and she was terminated on August 8th 2014.

She contacted us through one of our partner churches.  She originally submitted her need asking for us to pay her $555.00 car payment.  Upon working and praying with her it became clear that we could not pay the car payment.

However, she really does need food for her and her granddaughter.  She also desperately needs community.

Also, she is in need of employment. She has experience in call centers and has worked for Carmax Auto Finance.  We are in receipt of her resume and can provide it to you upon request.

So here is her need listed out:

• FOOD – They need you to take them some groceries.  She has 3 packs of meat.  That is it.
• Employment Opportunities – If you know of opportunities or have one yourself please let us know.

We know it should not matter and really it does not, but you should know that she is a very sweet lady.  You can tell that although she does not “have it all together” she is trying.  Do any of us really “have it all together”?  

She is in a tough spot.

This is an awesome opportunity for you to live out your faith.  Step out of your routine and let God use you between sundays.
