Cleaning Stalls Is Part Of It.

Cleaning Stalls Is Part Of It.

My wife and I often marvel at how messy our kids can be. We are shocked that they simply can not see the sock they left on the floor or their soccer bag in the middle of the garage. There is ALWAYS someone in the kitchen eating something and we are ALAWYS out of something and in need of going to the market. The walls get marks on them, my landscaping gets trampled, and I can not even begin to tell you how many times my wife cleans the glass on the front door. These things hold true at the office, on a team, or at your church. The truth is that many times things get messy because people are messy.

Proverbs 14:4 tells us that if you have oxen they are going to make a mess. However, it is those same oxen that produce abundance. So in our efforts to produce abundance, sometimes we have to clean stalls. This Proverb has really helped me to be present in the daily chores of life, friendship, leadership, and parenting.

I hope it helps you.

Proverbs 14:4 – Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.
