Good Morning.

We alert you today of a 27 year old single mother of a 7 year old boy that is in need. In 2011 she was forced to stab her abusive boyfriend in order to preserve her own life. Her boyfriend, and father of her child, died from the stab wounds. She was found to be justified in her action and the court system advised her to move for her own protection. Her abuser was a active gang member and they had reason to believe that her and her son’s lives were in danger. She fled very quickly and was able to find full time employment pretty quickly in her new town. She has held a full time job and provided for herself  and her son ever since.

When she fled she was required to transfer the registration of her car. She did not have the money to do so. Fast forward several years… she is pulled over going to work. She was ticketed and her license was suspended. Instead of losing her employment, she continued to drive on a suspended license. She was pulled over again and this time she was arrested.

She was unable to pay the fines and as a result was sentenced to 45 days in jail. She served 35 days on good behavior. This jail time resulted in the loss of her employment. She is getting by but needs to clear up the original administrative issue with her registration so that she can get a new job and drive legally.

We would like to help our church partner pay her administrative fees to get her car legal to drive.

The fees are $750.
