Story
We alert you today of a man that has served in the Marines through two tours in Afghanistan. Upon leaving the military he transitioned into civilian life and began working for a national auto parts chain. Several months ago he became ill and required emergency surgery. Following the surgery he was not recovering correctly and went back to the doctor. The incisions from the surgery had become infected and made him very sick again. Just a few weeks later he had to undergo another surgery from even more complications from the original surgery.
He worked through the recovery of the first two surgeries, but was sidelined with this last one. His employer has not been overly generous or understanding and he is in jeopardy of losing his job. We have connected him with our area expert in employment for his field and he is in the process of pursuing better job opportunities while he recovers. However, he is behind on some monthly bills. He has a solid work history, his wife works full-time, and they have two young children. We would like to ensure they can bridge this employment gap caused by his illness.
