Story
We alert you today of a young single mother that is working full time while also attending college. She is earning a business management degree with a minor in accounting. She is a very hard worker and is really making great strides toward her and her daughter’s future.
A few weeks ago her step brother passed away. She asked to take off work to attend the funeral that was 4 hours away from her home, and had the understanding that she would be paid for her time off due to bereavement. While she was out of town she blew a tire. This exposed a larger issue with all of her tires and she was forced to replace her tires while out of town. After returning to work she was informed she was not going to be paid for the two missed days.
All of this combined caused her to be short on her rent. She paid most of it, but is still lacking $350. Her landlord is working with her because she has a solid track record of paying her rent on time. We would like to help her in this time of need.
