Story
Good Morning.
We alert you today of a man that is in need of health care. This man and his wife have two children, 10 and 18 years old, and attend one of our local church partners. The wife is disabled due to issues stemming from a birth defect. She is a former Registered Nurse and now relies on a wheel chair most of the time.
The husband is in need of health care. He was employed for 20 years in the graphics industry where he wrapped cars, windows and other outdoor advertising. In December he was forced to have back surgery and have a section of his back fused. He was covered by health insurance when he had his surgery, but now he is no longer covered due to skyrocketing monthly premiums and the lost income form being unable to work. He simply could not make the premium payments.
He now is experiencing serous recovery issues from the back surgery. He can not stand without a cane and is falling often. The Dr. has ordered an MRI from his head to his lower lumbar to investigate possible causes for the delay in recovery.
He also has an infection on his tonsil and needs to see an ENT pretty quickly.
We do not want to see this man end up disabled because he could not afford to get the health care for these needs. We would like to pay for the MRI and the ENT visit and work with him to get on the track to recovery, off all the meds, and back to work. Getting him the MRI and the ENT visit are the first steps. We feel like this 44 year old father should have the hope of a better future.
Need
MRI – 4 Scans = $2200
ENT Visit – $150
Total Need = $2350
*WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS AND THE $1860 THAT HAS BEEN RAISE WILL BE ENOUGH TO COVER EVERYTHING.*
*As always 100% of your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your money, less the PayPal fees, will be applied to this specific need. You should also know that the relief will be delivered by the local church partner, not One Need.
