We alert you today to a single mother of three that has had her hours at work cut dramatically. She has been working this job for over three years, and nothing like this has ever happened. She is accustomed to working 40+ hours but has not gotten that many hours in a week in over a month. She is an active member of our local church partner, and we are working directly with her through that partner. We have already connected her with our area expert in staffing to look for a new job and coached her to go to her current employer to look for a solution. The pressing issue is that she is now unable to pay her monthly utilities and car insurance. We want to help her get through this time by paying those expenses as we address the underlying employment issues.
