We start the week by alerting you to a single mother of two (7,3) who just lost her job. The children’s father who is required to pay child support has neglected to do so for the past three months. Last month, her three-year-old child had two potty training accidents in the same week at their daycare facility, and because of a standing policy, the child had to stay home for a full week. This forced the mother to use all of her remaining time off from work.

She then became ill with COVID-19. She is recovering from the virus, but she still has severe cold symptoms. This quarantine caused her to miss even more work, and her employer released her from her job. She is working very hard to pursue new employment, but the timing of losing her job without child support has completely drained her savings. We are confident she will regain employment in the next few weeks, but she needs help paying her bills to avoid a financial hole. We want to help her with her monthly bills that total $2,425. This includes two weeks of child care ($225 per week) while she interviews for new employment positions after she is medically cleared to do so.
