We alert you today to a woman facing a second major surgery in less than a year. Last spring she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy in April. Unexpected costs associated with her surgery, combined with the loss of work hours during her recovery, put a substantial strain on her finances, and she got behind on her bills.

She was recently diagnosed with a pituitary disease that will require surgery in the next 30 days. Her expected recovery will mean another two to four weeks of lost income. We want to help her get current on her bills and cover her income for two weeks of upcoming unpaid leave which totals $2,800. She recognizes that she can budget more effectively. We are referring her to a personal financial management course to help her in that area, and she has agreed to take the course. We are praying that some financial help, combined with further education, will put her on a stable path moving forward.
