Need 22.4 – 64-Year-Old Woman Caring For Her Older Sister

We alert you today to sisters who need help catching up on their rent. Last year, the younger, 64-year-old sister, moved to a new state so she could care for her 72-year-old sister with Alzheimer’s who had suffered a stroke. Both sisters get small retirement checks, and the joint living arrangement provides affordable housing for them, while allowing the younger sister to give the care her older sister needs. The younger sister also works, cleaning houses to cover the additional income needed to make ends meet each month.

Four months ago, the older sister suffered another stroke and needed full-time care for more than three months. This health event affected the working sister’s hours, while also adding $500 per month in medical care expenses. Because of these circumstances, they are $1,250 behind on their rent with the property management company. We want to help them get current on their rent.
