We are alerting you today about a single mother of two (10,12) who suffered a heart attack two months ago. She was a correctional officer with a strong history of providing for herself and her children. Her grandmother, who is battling lung cancer, also lives with her and the children. She missed over a month of work and, upon returning, realized that the job’s stress was too much to handle. Therefore, she enrolled in a course to obtain her CDL, where she could work outside the prison. She is working hard to make this employment transition but needs help with her rent of $1,800 this month. We want to help her through this challenging season and provide financial relief to pay her rent.
