Need 23.47 – Single Mother Laid Off

We alert you for the last time this week to a single mother of two boys (12, 9) who was laid off from a new job at the end of April. She worked for many years at a national insurance company. In January, she transitioned to a smaller company that she felt would improve her income and increase her time with the boys. The transition left her without income for a few weeks, but she covered the employment gap with her savings. Then, within two months, she was laid off from her position, along with many others. She had very little savings and began frantically looking for new employment. She found another job and is making about $1,000 per week. She missed a monthly rent payment and is now facing eviction. Her normal rent is $1,600, but the rent plus late fees comes to $2,400. We want to help her with a financial bridge to avoid being evicted.
