We alert you today to a hard-working single mother who was forced to move apartments at the worst possible time. During the summer, she had an unexpected surgery that caused her to miss work and depleted her savings. As she recovered and returned to work, new management at her apartment presented her with an inflated lease agreement that would have been unsustainable on her budget. She did not sign the lease and was forced to find more affordable housing. After paying the upfront costs associated with the move, she does not have the funds to cover this month’s rent. We want to provide $1,450 in rent for one month to help her complete this housing transition.
