Need 24.02 – War Veteran Loses Leg In Auto Accident

We alert you today to an Army war veteran who served in Afghanistan and Iraq and recently lost his leg in an auto accident on November 14th of last year. He is a dedicated husband and father of three (12, 9, and 7) and provides for his family by working as a fabricator. He sustained several severely broken bones in his leg and pelvis during the accident. Doctors tried to save his leg but couldn’t regain blood flow, and they were forced to amputate his leg above the knee. His employer remains committed to his employment and has moved him to a desk job. He is now back to working full-time with a desire to adapt and return to fabrication. During the hospital stay and immediately after the surgeries, he was unable to work and fell behind on monthly bills. He was reluctant to reach out for help and finally did so at the urging of a friend at church. He needs $3,800 to get his family’s bills current, and we want to help him recover financially as he continues to recover physically.
