We alert you today of a young man and his family who have overcome many obstacles and unforeseen challenges over the past 6 months. Last year, they were excited to prepare for and welcome their second child. In those preparations, they were financially ready for the reduction in income the wife would have due to maternity leave. They were not, however, prepared for the many things that followed. These included a scheduled C-section, a baby born with some issues that shortly after arriving home required an ambulance ride back to the hospital, a broken tooth that required immediate work, a sump pump that broke and had to be replaced, but that also flooded the basement and ran up a massive electric bill trying to remove the water from the basement. In addition, the mom and baby were in a car accident, resulting in a deductible from the insurance company to have the car repaired. They had not expected to be stricken with so many financial needs in such a short period. The husband now works three jobs and has made payment arrangements for many of the expenses to manage the bills. Some bills will not take payments, though. We want to raise $2,200 to assist with these bills and allow the family some breathing room so they do not fall into too deep of a financial hole.
