We alert you today to a 58-year-old man who is very ill. He has suffered two heart attacks and a stroke. Last September, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has undergone 28 radiation treatments. He has a CT scan scheduled for next week, as doctors suspect that his cancer is not in remission. We are working with our local church partner to care for him and help him get on Social Security disability. That is a long process, and he has already been denied twice. He now has an attorney, and we hope he will get the support he needs with this latest appeal. He has limited family support and is entirely out of money. We want to help him with a financial bridge of $2,710 to help him make it until he can receive his Social Security disability.
