Need 24.54 – 19-Year-Old Needs Encouragement

We alert you today to a 19-year-old girl and mother of a one-year-old child fighting to get her life on track. Her father, who had been a support for her, died last year, and her mom is heavily addicted to drugs. Adding to her isolation, the father of her child is in jail. She was suddenly alone and faced with tough choices. Instead of giving up, she attended church and befriended the members for Godly support. She received her GED, applied, and was approved for childcare for her daughter so that she could go to work. She began working at a retirement home and was progressing to stability when the state suddenly shut down the facility, leaving her to start over. She is not a victim but determined and motivated to get back up and be a good mother. She is working with a county mentor to find a better-paying job to support her family independently. She needs some encouragement and support to know others believe in her. We want to give her $1900 to cover her bills, food, and gas for a month so that she can get back on track after starting a new job.
