Today, we alert you to a hard-working welder with a strong track record of providing for himself and his son. Earlier this year, he was laid off along with most of the workforce at the company he had worked at for many years. He remained unemployed for six weeks and regained full-time employment three months ago. He was recovering well and on track. He was able to catch up on his rent for both October and November when he became ill and missed two weeks of work late last month. Now, after all his work recovering from the layoff, he faces eviction later this month after being unable to pay his December rent. We talked through his family connections, and he is isolated and without any family to lean on. He has returned to work for several weeks but cannot beat the deadline to avoid eviction.
