We alert you today of a new mom who had a difficult pregnancy followed by a traumatic delivery last year. Because of the complications in delivery, she required several surgeries to repair damage to her body. The third surgery was in December, the worst of the three. She was out of work for surgery and recovery for six weeks. She had short-term disability, but it reduced her salary to half during those weeks. She has been able to pay her bills and rent through February, but January’s rent was late, and they filed for eviction, adding on almost $1000 in late fees and court costs. She has a very stable job, is healthy again, and will be fine in the future. We want to give her $900 for her late fees.
