As you know, most Need Alerts involve sad situations that create hardships. I am happy to share that this one involves good news! We alert you today to a hardworking single woman who has been working as a temp employee for an agency for quite a while. Most recently, she was on a six-month contract with a major insurance carrier. Recently, the contract ended, and the company offered her a full-time position! If you have ever worked as a temp contractor, you know this is great news. However, this also presents a challenge. Training for her new position was several weeks after the contract ended. She could not accept another temp assignment because she was taking the full-time position. These two factors have created a lapse in her income for a little over four weeks. She is on a positive trajectory, but cannot pay her rent this month. We want to help her along and pay her rent of $1,850 this month.
