We alert you today to a 29-year-old single mother of three (5,3,2) who is leaving domestic violence this week. The husband and father has drug and alcohol abuse problems and became physically violent on several occasions. Recently, he put a gun to her head and threatened to kill her. He was taken to jail but has been released on bail. The family lived near the husband’s family, and the mother is leaving the home to move near her family and support network. She is a school teacher and has secured employment and an apartment. She is leaving with just their clothes and a few personal items, and her family is helping her with second-hand furniture and housing items. She needs $2,100 in deposit money on Friday to get the keys to their new place. She has some money saved, but it is not enough to pay the deposit and move before returning to work. We want to help her with the deposit as she secured a safe home for her and her children.
