Need 25.50 – 49-Year-Old Widow Suffers Heart Attack
We are working today to help a 49-year-old widow with three small children (4,7,10) who suffered a heart attack on June 16th. She lost her husband, and the children lost their father in May of last year after he suffered a stroke and remained on life support for 33 days. She has provided for herself and her children through it all, working as a payroll analyst for an accounting firm. She has lived in her rental home for the past seven years and has never been late on her rent or any of her other monthly bills. Following her heart attack in June, she underwent triple bypass surgery to save her life. She is now recovering and continues to ask doctors when she can return to work. They are insisting that she wait until September, although she is pressing to return to work now out of fear of losing everything. She is now 11 days late on her rent, and her landlord, knowing what happened to her, has filed for eviction. She is asking us to help her avoid eviction and pay one month of her $2,500 rent. However, what she needs is two months of support until she can return to work in September. Her rent, utilities, car, car insurance, and groceries total $4,020 per month. We want to provide her with two months of financial support at $8,040. I know this is a significant number, and I also know that God moves through His people to do great things for those in need. It will take all of us to meet this need.
