We are working with a 69-year-old widow who is in danger of losing her belongings this Friday at 8 am. For the past few years, she has been bouncing between temporary homes, but she has recently been able to secure a rental house that fits her budget. She receives social security and VA benefits (her husband was a war veteran), but she is on a fixed income because she is unable to work due to her health. The cost of securing the new place has caused her to fall behind on her storage unit payments. She needs $520 to save her belongings, and she feels as if her entire life is in those units. When she makes the payment, she will be able to move her belongings into her new rental. We want to help her save her belongings.
