We are working today to help a young lady who was excited to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends when she was suddenly doubled over in excruciating pain. Because she is young and healthy, she reached out to one of the friends she had planned to meet up with and asked her to come over instead of dialing 911. She did not know at the time that a large cyst had ruptured and she had begun bleeding internally. After arriving at the ER, they rushed her into surgery, giving her several blood transfusions and removing and repairing damaged organs. She is now in the recovery phase, but will have to undergo 2 more procedures before returning to work mid-April. She has been approved for short-term disability but receives only 50% of her salary until she returns to work. So that she can truly rest during this recovery time, we would like to give her $ 2,900 now to help cover rent and utilities for April and part of May.
