Story
Good Morning.
We alert you today of a single mother that needs our help. She has been divorced from the father of her two children (14 and 16) for 8 years. She has had no real communication with the father for the past four years.
She has held steady employment for many years and in August of 2015 took a new position with a new company. In March of this year she was laid off at that new company. To add to the problems the father of their children bounced the child support check this month. That caused her rent check to bounce and now the apartment complex is going to start the eviction process if the rent is not paid by tomorrow at 3pm. The children’s father is nowhere to be found and is rumored to have left town.
She does have parents in the area, but they are in their 80s and have helped as much as they can. We do see stability for this broken family in the next 30 days. She has a very promising interview today with a fellow church member and a back up job if that interview does not pan out.
She also needs a little help with her car payment as she could not come up with all of that this month either. She must keep her transportation in order to move forward to stability.
She has partial rent and partial car payment but needs some help with each.
This is a very hard working single mother and she is a member of one of our church partners. My prayer is that you will consider this need carefully.
