Story
We alert you today of a single mother, of a 13-year old daughter, that is fighting stage 4 colon cancer. In May of this year, she went to the doctor because she thought she was dealing with an ulcer. It tuned out to be stage 4 colon cancer. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and while in surgery they discovered another tumor that they could not remove. She spent 3 weeks in the hospital. She is now in chemotherapy until November and doing all of this alone while trying to provide for her daughter. Before her illness, she had supported her family for many years as a software engineer. Now she has been forced to go on disability and has exhausted all of her savings.
We are working closely with her through our local church partner and are developing a plan to help her become financially stable through her treatment. She has secured some part-time engineering work and her disability will be increased in October. These two factors combined should stabilize her through the end of her treatment. We would like to help her get through theses next few months until all of that factors into her budget.
Her lease payment on her home is $1,360 per month. We would like to help her pay the next two month’s payments. She is on a lease purchase agreement and we would like her to be able to keep the money she has already invested into the townhome and continue her plan to purchase the home through her treatment.
*As always 100% of your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your money, less the PayPal fees, will be applied to this specific need. You should also know that the relief will be delivered by the local partner, not One Need.
