Story

We alert you today of a widowed amputee that is in need of help. She lost her 24-year-old son in 2003 and then her husband in 2006. In 2012 she went to the emergency room with blood pressure issues and due to complications with her treatment, she lost her leg. She was operating fine financially and employed full-time until the medical issue that resulted in her being handicapped.

She is receiving disability and trying to create additional income. The disability income is typically enough for her to survive. However, any additional unexpected expenses create a financial downward spiral. That is what has happened in this case. The unplanned has happened in the form of unexpected expenses with her home and now she is behind on all of her monthly bills. Due to the fact that she only has the fixed income, she has no way to work herself out of the deficit. She needs some financial relief.

She is working very hard to create a more stable situation. She has some very promising solutions, but needs a little help getting through this month. We would like to help her with the bills that are currently late. We are confident that this relief will get her back on track and our local church partner will be rallying alongside her to create a more stable situation for her going forward.
